It is sad. I did not
receive a single email about people reading this news, so I will just
not post anything regularly anymore and save myself the guilt. I
think I might redesign the site yet again and just post things worth
actually reading. You know, things one might actually refer to as
"news". So, keep yours eyes peeled for a new design....but don't
forget to blink.

Where have I been? I
know I am really terrible at this update thing. I really keep so
busy with deviantart and being in that community that I forget I have a
website to keep up. In fact,
email me if you actually come to my site and read these things.

Oh man, I haven't posted
anything in a long time. haha. I still don't have anything
interesting to say. Worked on some caricatures, made some money, and
have more to do.

So my birthday came and
went, and now I am 24. I am feeling a bit "old" for being young.
Ah well, I will just consider it to be more maturity and knowledge and
less mistakes.
Work has gotten a bit
crazier because I have taken over for the office manager that quit and
still managing to do my job at the same time. It's all working out
ok though. I have gone home at a decent hour every night, so
that's good.
I hope to post some more
artwork here soon, but for now you will just have to check out my
deviant page.

My birthday is getting
closer and I am getting excited. I have been working hard towards
my weight loss goal for my birthday, and I reached it this weekend, 2
weeks earlier than scheduled. Ten pounds is a lot to lose, and it
feels really good to have that accomplishment.

Netherlands, Teo -aka-
Skaffa, painted me a sweet pic and is going to mail it to me.

Hey all! I am slacking
on the updates again, I know. So what has been happening in my
world you ask! Let me tell you...
I am starting a little
business that I will tell you all about once I get it up and running.
That way, there is some real anticipation and not just boring curiosity.
I will give you a hint though, it has to do with pumpkins. Ponder
that for a few.
Also, I have been on a
pretty strict new regimen of eating healthy and exercising, and I am
shrinking as we speak. Well, I guess you are reading this after the fact
and I am just talking to myself, but you know what I mean.
Oh yeah, and most
importantly, my birthday is 21 days away! woohoo!!!

Well, I have only have a few
doodles worth mentioning. I probably won't add new art here until
I am comfortable with adding it to my portfolio. Today I did a
quick drawing which you can see
here.
And yesterday was complete
deviantART madness!!! A friend of mine,
Chamba, decided that he wanted to color my
Polar drawing. I, of course, was delighted to hear this.
After he finished his amazing color, which you can see
here, people started to come to my page from the link. Then,
all insanity happened. I got almost
300 page views in one day. Now I have over 30 'friends' and a
ridiculous amount of favorites. So, thanks again Chamba!

I hope everyone had a great
Valentines Day. I know I did. I am way too lucky to have the
things I have.
I plan on working on some
more art in the very near future. I think I will go with more of a
comic style and less illustrative. We'll see how that goes.
Also, I plan to get a few things up for sale at the
shop. So, check back later or
drop me a line if you have any requests for prints.

Finally, I did a Weekly Jam
on Deviant Art. You can check it out
here. The theme was 'Zomb-i-fied'. I didn't have a
regular character to 'zombify' so I just drew a hot zombie. What
do you think? I definitely do these more often, it was way fun.

designer named Huck Gee. He has definitely fallen under some hard
times with being near deported and all that (read
his story). I think as many people as possible should go to

a new artist that I like:
Jose Johann Jaro. His style is not the same old cookie cutter comic
you are used to.

Can you believe it?
Two updates in a row and on consecutive days... something must be wrong
with me. No, nothing is wrong, I just actually have something
worth mentioning.
I was making rounds at
deviant art and I followed a couple favorites of my favorites and
found a great female artist that you all should go see. Her name
is Alina Urusov. But she goes by
ayanimeya. Check her out! (note: her line art is incredible)

Back from the mountains...
Utah was great. We had a bunch of fun with the family. I
still desperately want a puppy. Expecially after seeing my
sister-in-law's dogs. She has a lab named Gator, and two shih-tzus
named Pippin and Maggie. Maggie is my new best friend.
I updated the banner above
as soon as I could. I definitely don't like "Merry Christmas"
stuff all over the place in January. It kind of messes everything
up in my opinion. So, if you are one of those people that still
has your Christmas lights on and blinking every night, please please,
TAKE THEM DOWN!

You gotta see this. I
was browsing
Skottie Young's site and I went to his links page. There I
followed a link to
Joshua Middleton's site. OH MY GOSH! I have not been
this inspired in a long time. For me, it's like hearing a sweet
song for the first time, and I just keep playing it over and over again,
and I want everyone I know to hear it. Well, I want everyone I know to
see this. I think his work is incredible. He is walking the
fine line between real and surreal. I can barely tell if his girls
are strictly imagined or referenced. You just gotta check it out.....

I was just checking my
personal email this morning and I found something that I really enjoy.
My grandpa sent me the well-known
Calvin
and Hobbes snowmen email. Oh my gosh, I laugh every single
time.
Bill Watterson is a GENIUS! In my personal, and professional
opinion, that man is brilliant. With a few strokes of a pen, he
can bring out the true child in every person. That is what art is
all about. I believe that a successful artist is one who can bring
an emotion to the viewer from a single image, simple or complex.

Is it really December
already? Wow, time flies when you are alive. Ha! I posted
some paintings on eBay. Let's all hope they sell because I need
some Christmas money.
My husband and I are going
to Provo for Christmas and I am so excited. His bro works at a ski
lift now so we can hopefully get the snowboarding hook-ups from him.

It's gonna be great to be in
snow and have enough time to actually just hang out with the family.
I can hardly contain my excitement.

Halloween was good, no pics of my costume to show, yet. I want to

Yes I'm alive! Sorry I
haven't updated in forever. I really need to get better about
communicating with people other than my husband. He is really nice
to talk to though.
I have been pondering some
ideas for books and illustrations and things. I would love to do
an alphabet book for fun, and for money of course, but I just haven't
gotten around to it yet. I guess I just feel that I really need to
work on my art skillz a bit more until I am confident enough to begin a
new project.
Life is good. Have you
