<p>I am so inspired.  Today I received my copy of Process Recess 1 in the mail.  It is a collection of work by <a href="http://jamesjean.com">James Jean</a>, my favorite artist.  It was printed in 2005 and sold out immediately.  The only copies that I could find online were going for over $75.00.  Last week, on a whim, I looked on amazon to see what they were going for.  There was only 1 for sale, for $12.00 &#8212; its mine.  I didn&#8217;t even bother to see if it was the first printing.  It wasn&#8217;t until I actually openned the package to see that I was lucky enough to have one of the original first printings.  It goes great with my Process Recess 2. </p>

<p>I had another assignment to &#8220;remix&#8221; a film that my professor provided.  It was a video about technology that was made in the 60&#8217;s.  We could only use the video and audio from the file that she provided.  I took it in the abstract direction. </p>

I have added the beginning of the beetles and a layer of drips.  I have a pretty good idea of where I am going to go with it, but it is always changing.  There will definitely be more line work and probably more black added later.

This is the beginning stage of three paintings that I am working on.  I am trying to get a lot of texture and interest with the background because the foreground image will be mostly spot colors.  My current pallet is orange, green, and yellow.
