“My art serves as a release of my creative and intellectual tensions. I use my work to organize my emotion, thoughts, and inspirations. My preference in media ranges from pencil to paint, but my pallet of vibrant hues and high contrast runs through all of my pieces. It is important to me that my images grab attention and are not lost in a glance. I pull inspiration from other artist’s work and find my style constantly stretching and molding to what is most aesthetically pleasing to me at the time. I would say that my subject matter is as the weather – cycling through highs and lows, only to repeat itself. My desire is to create a body of work that defines me and inspires others.” -Kristin Larsen 11.1.07
